Still a youngblood of Germany’s techno scene, Emerson struck a chord with multilayered techno; enriched in quality and indicative of his synthetic electronic style. Founder of the esteemed Micro.fon imprint, he has opened the door and brought driving techno from its barren lands to a new territory built upon groove and bounce. With releases on labels as diverse as CLR, Desolat, and 100% Pure, Emerson has moved through the last decade unearthing a fledgling reputation as a go-to producer for those who love a gutful of groove no matter how driving and hard-faced the music may be.

Starting out as a youthful DJ in South Germany, Emerson ventured down a breakbeat avenue, playing in various clubs before getting his break at Munich’s Ultraschall. This led to a nationwide tour with the respected Timing label and its headlining DJ, Tanith. As a result, Emerson found opportunities in several major clubs across Germany before taking his sound abroad to cities like Tokyo, Miami, São Paulo, and Eastern Europe.

DJ Emerson is also a prolific producer, both in his native Germany and around the globe. The positive reception to his work inspired him to launch Kiddaz.FM in 2001, a label that has amassed over 50 releases, selling more than 100,000 units. His work has gained support from big names like Adam Beyer, Laurent Garnier, and Chris Liebing, with whom he collaborated on many records for CLR and its sublabel Spinclub Records. This includes their inaugural 12″ release, „Mr Nice / Cut The Crap.“

His underground cuts, such as „Anonymous,“ „La Decima,“ and „Break,“ continue to twist intricate layers of percussion and melody around a more industrial techno backbone, engraving his name into the collective consciousness of techno lovers worldwide. As a modern techno juggernaut, Emerson is undoubtedly part of a lineage of underground artists who are keenly aware of Germany’s evolving music scene. His gritty beats and analog soundscapes are delivered effortlessly to dance floors around the world.
